Can I Breastfeed In It? is the brainchild of Nat Halman. After having a baby, Nat realised it’s not easy to find stylish, breastfeeding-accessible clothing. She also found in-person breastfeeding support within her local community to be scarce, so she turned to other parents on Facebook for help.
In 2015, Nat set up a Facebook group which grew to over 1,000 members within a few weeks. That original group is now a network of six global communities, where hundreds of thousands of parents share outfit ideas, breastfeeding tips, and child-rearing woes.
CIBII is run by a team of volunteers, united in the belief that breastfeeding should be normalised within society. Useful, impactful breastfeeding support is sadly lacking within our local communities, so CIBII’s aim is to offer help where parents are already spending time – on social media.
The CIBII team includes trained breastfeeding peer supporters who can offer evidence- based information on baby feeding.
